Delegation 2019

Record Canadian Delegation Marks 15th Anniversary Of Cross-Border Minority Supplier Council Partnership

Atlanta, Georgia | October 13-16, 2019

In celebration of the 15-year collaboration between Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) and National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the Government of Canada, represented by the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), has partnered with CAMSC to lead the largest-ever Canadian Business Delegation to this year’s NMSDC Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange. The Delegation includes 19 minority and Aboriginal-owned companies representing a wide range of industries.

“We are excited to welcome the Canadian Business Delegation to Atlanta,” said Consul General of Canada, Atlanta, Nadia Theodore. “The birthplace of the civil rights movement in America is an apt setting for fostering supplier diversity relationships. Their participation undoubtedly will be key in advancing their business objectives, as they make important connections, learn about opportunities in this market and beyond, while forging strong relationships with Canada’s most important trading partner.”

Since its inception, corporate members have spent more than $5-billion with CAMSC certified Aboriginal and minority-owned businesses.

“On a global level, we continuously look for opportunities to provide a foundation for our members to excel,” said Cassandra Dorrington, President and CEO of CAMSC.  “While our suppliers have worked cross border, our goal is to help them to accelerate their efforts. For the ones who are ready to expand overseas, we connect them with multinational corporate buyers. We anticipate that this is the first of many missions that we will lead both internationally and globally.”
