Canada’s Procurement Ombudsman releases his 2019-20 Annual Report
The Procurement Ombudsman’s 2019-2020 Annual Report was recently tabled in Parliament. The report provides an update on the work being carried out by his office in key areas, such as dispute resolution services, reviews of supplier complaints, knowledge deepening and sharing studies and procurement practice reviews. The report also highlights the efforts made by the Office of the Procurement Ombudsman (OPO) to connect stakeholders of the federal supply chain to increase diversity and access and to strengthen both the supplier and the federal procurement communities.
OPO is a key resource for suppliers already selling or trying to sell, goods and services to the federal government. Through town hall meetings, social media, their “Share your thoughts on federal procurement” web portal and our 1-866-734-5169 toll-free line, suppliers are invited to share their experiences in navigating the federal procurement process, which OPO can then bring to the attention of senior federal decision-makers and Parliamentarians.
